Reflection 1

My teacher, Hedley wants me to write an essay about procedure: how to make butter.It should be 150 words, and he explained to me that the essay consists of three paragraphs, that is introduction, body and conclusion.

Compare living in a small town and living in a big city

Year after year people are changing. Also countries all over the world are developing. Some people like to live in a small town, but some of them don’t .They prefer to live in a big city. In this essay I'm going to compare living in a small town with living in a big city.

    There are a lot of similarities between the big city and a small town. The first similarity is that both of them have schools and hospitals. Also both of them have a police station to take care of the people. Another major similarity is that both places have roads to drive on.

    Although there are many similarities there are also differences. The first difference is that a big city has an international airport, but in the small town there is not. The second difference is  a big city has a university while the people who live in a small town need to go to the big city to study higher education. Another difference is that people who live in a big city have a different life style than in a small town.

     In my opinion, living in a big city is more comfortable for me because it has big malls ,an airport and all the services I need.

The UAE in the past and nowadays

The UAE, The United Arab Emirates, is a nice and beautiful country. The UAE grew up and improved fast. In this essay I am going to compare and contrast the UAE in the past and nowadays.

            First I will start with differences. In the past people only studied the Holy Quran and some math. Also they had only one teacher, but nowadays people study different subjects such as Arabic, history, English and math. They study in big universities with a lot of teachers. In the past the people were using the animals, such as camels and horses to travel; whereas people nowadays use cars and buses for traveling.

Whereas there are a lot of differences, there are also similarities. The first similarity is that the Sheikh Zayed road nowadays is the same as it was in the past. The people in the past and in present wear similar clothes. Women in the past wore the Abaya and Burqa; also nowadays they wear the same clothes.

In my opinion life in the UAE nowadays is easier and more comfortable than it was in the past because of the technology.

How to make butter

Most people like butter and they buy it from the shop, but most of them don’t know how to make butter. In this essay I'm going to write about how to make butter.

The first step is to check the fresh milk to get good quality and less fat content. The second step is to leave the milk to cool down, which will help to make cream. Separate the cream and churn the cream. It will take time, but do it slowly to get a good quality. Next, drain the butter milk from the butter and place the butter in a jar. After that wash the butter with cold water to remove the remaining butter milk.

Finally, add a small amount of salt for flavor. Cut and wrap the butter before you put it in the fridge.

            All banks of the world issue ATM cards to their customers nowadays. In this essay I'm going to talk about how to use the ATM in the best way.

The ATM is an easy way to withdraw money from anywhere in the world and at anytime. Anyone who uses an ATM should take care of security and should be aware of his account by not giving anyone his pin code or password and do not let anyone see him when doing a withdrawal.

The first  step in using an ATM is to make sure you put the card in the correct way so that the card follows the arrow. The second step is to choose the language you can use. Next it will ask you to insert the pin code which the bank gave  to you. After that, choose the option of the account saving or running account. Then enter the amount you want. After that the machine will process the request. Collect your money and make sure you collect the receipt.

This is the way to use an ATM. It is safe and simple and will make the life easy. Also it will save your time.
